Privacy Policy

SendBrake: Message Check · Effective date: September 22, 2026

The short version

Dudley Development, LLC operates SendBrake, a free message-decision app supported by ads. It has no account or inbox connection and cannot send a message. The default check runs on your iPhone. The optional Jev check sends the draft and any note you entered to our Cloudflare proxy and TypeSafe AI only after you choose the online check and see its disclosure. Jev returns Send, Rewrite, or Leave unsent; it does not write a message for you.

What stays on your device

  • The draft and optional note during the active check.
  • History containing your decision, optional short label, and dates, but not the draft or note.
  • App settings, ad-frequency counters, and the local Remove Ads entitlement state.

The draft and note are cleared after Save, Start over, or backgrounding. The iOS share extension can receive text or a URL you explicitly share into SendBrake; it does not connect to your inbox. The original text is not saved to history, diagnostics, result cards, or ad requests. Deleting the app removes its local history.

Optional online Jev check

If you select Check with Jev, SendBrake sends the draft, message-channel choice, and any optional note over HTTPS to a Dudley Development Cloudflare Worker. The Worker forwards that input toTypeSafe AI for a closed-set decision. TypeSafe may retain API input under its policy; do not use this option for text you are unwilling to share with that provider. The Worker logs only response status, not the draft or note.

Cloudflare supplies the request IP address to the Worker. It is hashed with a server secret for a daily abuse-limit counter; the counter does not store the raw IP address or draft. Cloudflare and TypeSafe process data under their own privacy terms. If the online service fails or reaches its limit, SendBrake labels the on-device fallback instead of presenting it as a Jev result.

Sharing

Sharing a result uses the iOS share sheet and includes the decision summary you choose, not the source draft. The destination you select receives that shared content under its own privacy practices; Dudley Development does not receive a copy.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version uses Google AdMob. SendBrake requests non-personalized ads, disables Google's publisher first-party identifier, and does not request Apple's tracking permission. It makes no ad request in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or if it cannot determine the device's region. No draft, note, label, or decision is included in an ad request.

Where ads are allowed, Google's SDKs may process an IP address, device or app-scoped identifiers, coarse location inferred from IP, advertising data, product interactions, impressions, crash data, performance data, and other diagnostics to deliver, measure, limit, and protect ads and provide app functionality. Google's manifests may declare tracking for Device ID even though this app requests non-personalized ads and does not show an Apple tracking-permission prompt. We do not run separate PostHog or Sentry services in SendBrake.

  • Read Google's advertising policy and Google's privacy policy.
  • A banner appears only on History; an interstitial may appear only after a natural break, subject to session, time, and daily caps.
  • A one-time Remove Ads purchase removes banner and interstitial ads.

Purchases

Apple processes the Remove Ads purchase. We do not receive payment-card details. The app checks StoreKit for an active entitlement so it can remove ads and restore the purchase.

Children, changes, and contact

SendBrake is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information. Material policy changes will appear here with a new effective date before the changed practice ships. Questions or privacy requests? Emailsupport@dudleyapps.com.
