Powell Prowl: Rate Chase is a free satirical mini-game collection for iPhone. El Pres wants a rate cut; Le Chair is the only thing standing in the way. Chase him through the Press Room, snipe him from the balcony with a subpoena, out-paddle him on the Potomac, and out-shift him on the Beltway across 60 hand-tuned levels and 15 distinct game types, each playing in about a minute — pick up and play between meetings.

An update renaming the app to Monetary Policy: Independence Day and expanding it to a 100-level Independence Day campaign is in the works. It has not shipped — this page describes the version currently live on the App Store.

Game types

Fifteen distinct game types, from a drag-based Tag chase to a Sniper balcony shot, a Canoe Race down the Potomac, a Beltway Drag Race, a Sneak stealth level, Whack-a-Fed, a Chopper Drop catch, Tug of War, Don’t Let Go timing, Boxing, a Mountain Climb race, Rate Math arithmetic, a Museum Heist, and a six-lane Beltway Final Race against the entire Fed board.

How it works

Every level is a short, pick-up-and-play micro-game with a difficulty curve from Easy to Insane across four difficulty modes. Sound effects, music, and haptics toggle independently, and every win counts toward Game Center leaderboards: Total Score, Fastest Tag, and Lifetime Whacks.
