Monetary Policy: Independence Day

A satirical iPhone arcade game where Fed independence explodes into 100 levels of chaos · Live on the App Store

What is Monetary Policy: Independence Day?

Previously released as Powell Prowl: Rate Chase. Same bundle, expanded game.

Monetary Policy: Independence Day is a free satirical economics romp for iPhone — a 100-level Independence Day campaign where the Fed just declared independence and chaos ensues. Beat the Fed by chasing the Chair through fireworks, parades, and paper-cutout Washington sets while responsive controls and optional haptics keep the chase feeling tight.

How Monetary Policy works

Every level is a short, pick-up-and-play micro-game: tag the Chair, dodge subpoenas, wrestle a governor, or race a canoe past the Federal Reserve River. Each stage adds new hazards (think crowd control, confetti, and exploding policy memos) so the difficulty ramps steadily; switch to Easy if you need a breather. Sound effects, music, and haptics toggle independently, and every win boosts your Game Center leaderboard standing.

Meet the Independence Day Fed cast

LE CHAIR is the elusive target who keeps floating between stages. LE EMERITUS shadows the sidelines with snarky quips while guarding the Library of Policy. The regional governors (New York, Atlanta, Chicago, West Bank) each bend a level with new traps — one drops subpoenas, another summons parade floats, another rewires the Whack-a-Fed arena. The cast is entirely fictional, so feel free to laugh.

Why Monetary Policy?

This is satire, not a manifesto. Monetary Policy: Independence Day is parody only — no political endorsement, no implied affiliation, and definitely no real-person caricatures. It keeps the charm of the original chase while leaning hard into Independence Day symbolism and new characters, so you can still beat the Fed and laugh about it.
